Afrobling byAwaru came about as a sheer testament to our appreciation of African textiles, and, a need for a casual representation allotted for our everyday wardrobe. A long awaited return visit back home perpetuated the inspiration and challenge to create a unique identity to kitenge (african fabric), wood, cow horn, and goat hide through a modern interpretation.

AfroblingbyAwaru is not merely an africanization of basic accessories, but rather an infusion of the African audacity and sheer unapologetic stance with regard to how we approach life, into wearable art.

Though rooted in Uganda, East Africa, influences from our travels through Sudan, India, Belgium, Luxembourg, Dubai, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America and lent their influence to our product. Our brand pays homage to what is, all the while defying the boundaries of trends and seasons.

Our raw materials are purchased locally in Uganda. Creative expression is fostered in the delivery of a plethora shapes, materials, and style esthetics through collaborations with brilliant local artist.
